THE POSITION

The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill is seeking a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 3 to plan, organize, and direct physical plant maintenance and heating and utility operations.
An ideal candidate for this position is energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated to complete tasks while leading a team to maintain the facility.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager for the Department of Corrections, you will plan, organize, direct physical plant maintenance, repair, and heating and utility operations at SCI Camp Hill ensuring the total needs of the institution are met by the maintenance and utility staff.
The responsibilities of the position also relate to the operation and maintenance of power plant equipment, sewage, and other utility systems.
As part of this role, you will plan for physical plant maintenance, development, growth, and improvement by participating in conferences with agency personnel, the Department of General Services, private consultants and contractors, and professional engineers to discuss operational requirements, evaluate proposed plans, and to ensure facility needs are being addressed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (37.
5-hour work week) Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager 2; or Two years as a Facility Maintenance Manager 1; or Three years of experience as a Utilities Supervisor; or Seven years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including four years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
