Our Trading Post Manager works closely with our Business Manager to oversee and run all operations of our Trading Post.
Today’s summer camp staff are a diverse group of men and women sharing a dynamic career offering independence, achievement, and stability.

This is a seasonal position (mid-June to mid-August).
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records and inventory.
Assist with product orders, as needed.
Train and oversee Trading Post Staff.
Maintain a clean and organized store.
Help customers with their purchases and answer any questions.
Providing guidance, motivation, and support to all camp visitors.
Communicate with unit leaders, Scouts, visitors, and staff.
Maintain high standards for personal appearance and hygiene.
Attend all meals and camp-wide activities unless excused by the Business Manager.
Obey and enforce all applicable policies, practices, and procedures approved by the New Birth of Freedom Council and the Boy Scouts of America.
Know, understand, and implement emergency action plans when needed.
Relay any issues that could impact the safe and successful operation of the camp to the Business Manager immediately.
Exemplify all aspects of the Scout Oath and Law and serve as a role model for staff and Scouts.
Complete all other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.
Desired Skills
High moral character.
Working knowledge of Cub Scout and Scouts BSA programs.
Familiarity with Camp Tuckahoe facilities and traditions.
Auditory and oral abilities to effectively communicate.
Retail or sales experience.
Requirements
Must be willing to accept and meet the Boy Scouts of America’s leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law.
18 years of age or older.
Offers for employment are subject to criminal, reference, and motor vehicle background checks.
Auditory and oral abilities to effectively communicate.
The ability of sight, Medical approval by a physician to work.

Physical ability to walk and lift 40 Lbs.
Physical ability to participate in and instruct outdoor skills.

Compensation
The New Birth of Freedom Council, Boy Scouts of America offers a competitive salary starting at $475/week, onsite housing, and meals.
