THE POSITION

Make your career aspirations a reality with us! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the Liquor Store Assistant Manager, you will supervise, manage and direct activities in state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores.
Duties include supervising a shift, participating in a variety of sales activities including receiving shipments, stocking products, and providing excellent service to all customers in a clean and safe store environment.
Throughout operations, you will assign and inspect the work of Liquor Store employees and instruct them in the proper application of policies and procedures.
You will have the opportunity to assist General Managers, who are accountable for the entire store operation which includes sales, store maintenance, merchandise and cash accounting, maintenance of records and all related functions.
Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.
5 hours per week.
Work hours vary between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, Sunday - Saturday.
Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk; or One year of lead retail sales work.
Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation.
An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
