Assistant Mgr of Safety and Security Ops

This position is responsible for assisting the Manager(s) of Safety & Security Operations and the Senior Manager of Safety & Security Operations with the planning, oversight, and execution of the daily operations for the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position): Supervise, oversee, and execute security operations for an assigned event and/or venue by leading part-time seasonal employees to ensure alignment, consistency, safety, and security of all guests, employees, and physical assets of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.
* Participate in operational planning meetings and provide on-site security support for events occurring at Hersheypark Entertainment Complex venues while acting as the assigned Security Department Duty Representative.
* Provide coaching and training for part-time and seasonal employees on their shifts to achieve a higher state of public readiness.
Assist in leadership development through providing opportunities for employees to continue to grow and develop while providing recognition and appreciation to our team members.
* Oversee and maintain department equipment inventories and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
Coordinate maintenance, set-up, and tear-down of equipment for scheduled events.
* Conduct investigations based on incidents, reports, and/or trends through the use of interviews, CCTV, data analysis and other means.
Complete detailed and accurate reports associated with incidents and investigations in a timely manner.
* Initiate and implement emergency response measures by responding and reacting to unsafe conditions and emergency situations.
Manage deployment of security personnel and equipment to provide effective and efficient operations during incidents.
* Provide timely responses to all forms of guest correspondence and bring about win-win solutions in resolving guest-related issues.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Industry Experience - Amusement Park, Human Resources, Hospitality/Tourism Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
18 years of age or older.
