Kindness Counts Learning Center is searching for an Infant Teacher to create a caring, nurturing, and warm environment where children can learn and grow.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of an innovative early education center and to join our team of warm, kind, and dedicated educators.
We use creative learning curriculums to facilitate learning.
Our goal is to see our students use the skills they acquire both in and out of the classroom.
*Responsibilities Include: * *Educating * * Prepare daily lessons to achieve expected developmental standards and interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
* Present opportunities that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level, based upon the PA Early Learning Standards.
* Design a suitable room arrangement to support the goals and developmental levels of the children in the classroom.
*Caregiving * * Intuit and meet the individual needs of the children with kindness, patience, and empathy.
* Monitor the safety and well-being of the children.
* Routine clean-up of classroom and classroom furniture.
*Collaborating * * Be aware of or be willing to learn accreditation standards and actively demonstrate the “Observable Criteria” needed to gain or maintain accreditation.
* Participate in staff and training meetings (monthly) * Professional and kind communication with parents and co-workers.

Work hours may vary to meet the needs of the children in our care and the center.
* Upon completion of the training period, teachers work independently They are accountable for ensuring they complete tasks and maintain their classroom.
*Work Environment/Physical Demands: * * Adapt and excel in a continuously changing, fast-paced environment, and make the children’s needs their primary focus.
* Teachers must be able to fully engage in physical activity such as kneeling, stooping, sitting on the floor, standing for long periods.
Teachers must also demonstrate and engage in activities like jumping, dancing, walking, and running.
* The ability to lift up to 40 pounds is strongly desired and may be required to work in some classrooms or in the kitchen.
Work is primarily performed on-site at the center.
Daily outdoor work is required but work is otherwise indoors.
Work is sometimes performed off-site for field trips.
Teachers must be able to see and hear well enough to monitor classrooms and playgrounds to keep children safe at all times.
*Job Requirements: * * Minimum of a High School Diploma (Associate Degree preferred/ Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
* Minimum of 2,500 hours of verifiable experiences working with children (2 years) * Ability to obtain FBI Fingerprint clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record clearance, PA Child Abuse clearance, and NSOR Clearance.
* Recent health assessment and a current TB test (or willing to obtain) *Benefits and Compensation: * * Competitive compensation, childcare discounts, bonuses and incentives, PTO after one year of employment.
